Experience
A timeline of my professional and academic journey, including work positions and teaching experiences.
Work Experience
Computational Scholar Intern
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Jul 2025 - Aug 2024
Worked under the supervision of Dr. Chris Vogl. Under the umbrella of coupling MFEM with structured mesh codes (such as SAMRAI, AMReX, and Geoclaw), my project focused on the development of reconstruction techniques from low-order broken finite element spaces to higher-order broken finite element spaces.
Comp Scholar Intern
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Jun 2024 - Oct 2024
Worked under the direction of Dr. Chak Shing Lee and Dr. Tzanio Kolev, focusing on implementing and testing a family of diagonal smoothers for general systems. Developed preconditioners for matrix-free methods to improve computational efficiency in large-scale scientific computing applications.
Comp Scholar Intern
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Jun 2023 - Oct 2023
Worked under the Computing Scholar Program with mentor Dr. Chak Shing Lee and contributions from Dr. Panayot S. Vassilevski. Implemented and compared different block-solvers for the discretization of Darcy equations, including a Bramble-Pasciak transformation for non-symmetric positive definite systems and a reduced preconditioned conjugate gradient iteration. This work became a feature in the MFEM library's Block Solvers Miniapp.
Givens Associate
Argonne National Laboratory
Jun 2022 - Sep 2022
I worked at ANL as a Givens Intern. My mentor was Dr. Richard Mills. Our work focused on utilizing and integrating PETSc solvers into two software packages, NGSolve and Firedrake. Of particular interest was the utilization of PETSc field-split preconditioners for solving coupled systems of PDEs.
